How long does it take to recover from lasik eye surgery?

What happens right after LASIK?
Right after the treatment:

How long does recovery take?
First few hours
Your eyes may feel a bit scratchy or dry. Resting your eyes is very helpful.

First week
Vision becomes clearer each day. You may still notice light sensitivity or halos around lights at night. These usually fade.
1–3 months

4. Wear sunglasses
Your eyes are sensitive after LASIK. Sunglasses protect them from bright light and dust.
5. Go to all check-ups

6. Avoid swimming and makeup at first
This keeps your eyes clean and protected.
